Rapunzel Naturkost GmbH & Co. KG endows the foundation with considerably more than 500,000 euros annually.
From the company's own fair trade programme HAND IN HAND, Rapunzel guarantees the foundation an annual HAND IN HAND donation (formerly HAND IN HAND fund). It amounts to one percent of the purchase value of HAND IN HAND raw materials and merchandise that the company buys per calendar year from HAND IN HAND partners, i.e. its fair trade suppliers. These funds flow into ecological and social projects in countries of the Global South.
In addition, Rapunzel Naturkost makes further donations with the so-called “Bio-Cent”. Rapunzel donates 1 cent to the foundation for every product sold. The Bio-Cent multiplies the amount of the HAND IN HAND donation made by Rapunzel since 1998. As such, it permanently strengthens the foundation.
The scope of the RAPUNZEL One World Organic Foundation’s action is further expanded by donations from committed private individuals or companies.

Basic assets
The founding donors dedicated basic assets in the amount of 475,000 euros to the RAPUNZEL One World Organic Foundation.
The foundation attaches great importance to investing in accordance with sustainable criteria (selection according to ESG criteria and the Paris Climate Conference). Controversial business areas and practices are excluded.
